Josiah participated in the science fair at school this year. It took him awhile to settle on the topic of his experiment, solar energy, and I never quite got the sense that he was completely pleased with the topic or the project process or progression. Nevertheless, he persevered, and after a significant bit of trial and error, completed his experiment, put together a display board, and thoroughly enjoyed attending the Science Fair...and even explaining his project to the roving teams of judges.
He is already thinking ahead to next year, and is eager to try some sample runs this summer of experiments and studies that are more in keeping with his areas of interests. I can't wait to see what he comes up with. He is an inventor to his soul and his creative ideas are truly awesome! I'd share some here, but I'm really expecting him to patent many of them in the future (seriously), so I'll hold off.
